MADarts
With no formal application, this in-house residency program offers artists residencies each season, with no expectation of results.
Past MADarts residents have included: Pony Box Dance Theatre, RAWdance, Caleb Teicher + Regina Spector, Warren Carlyle + Rob Berman, MBDance, Jonathan Fahoury, Joseph Medeiros, Olivia Palacios, Megan Williams Dance Projects, Alethea Pace, Joe Iconis and Marisa Michelson
MADnewmusicals
MAD supports the development of new musicals in several ways, including developmental residencies, open rehearsals and invited presentations of new musicals at every stage of development.
Several new musicals have been developed at MAD including: Delirious Berlin with book, music and lyrics by Eric Dietz.
MADcollabs
This program brings MAD together with partner organizations to collaborate on specific initiatives.
MADcollabs Partners have included: LaunchPAD by Works & Process At The Guggenheim and Black Artists Space to Create by New Dance Alliance
MADrentals
This is MAD’s rental program for non-profit arts organizations seeking residency space for investigation, development, workshop or rehearsal.
Past MADrentals have included: Fisher Center at Bard College, HOPEBOYKINDANCE, and Doug Varone and Dancers
MADvisualarts
MAD actively commissions visual artists to create work for its galleries and spaces, often the culmination of on-site residencies.
Commissioned artists include: Dani Adams, Gillian Hassert and Rowan Willigan. MAD has also been gifted works by artists such as Colbi Campbell, Gary Johnson and David Stoltz, and has acquired works by artists such as Andy Fletcher.
MADstudy
MAD provides space for scholars and intellectuals to pursue particular areas or study or academic projects from time to time, and accepts proposals of this sort.
The inaugural MADstudy artist was Angela Sigley Grossman.
